What You’ll Need
Cutting The Cardboard Crossbow Shaft

First, cut the cardboard box’s halves lengthwise. The length of your crossbow’s shaft will depend on your height and how far you plan on extending your arm.
The general rule is that your arm should be fully extended when holding the cardboard crossbow. You can use a ruler or measuring tape to measure the length of your cardboard shaft.
Now cut the cardboard in half lengthwise. Cut one of the halves in half again lengthwise. This will create four pieces of cardboard that you can use to make two crossbow shafts.
Cutting The Arrow Shaft

The arrow shaft is the part that connects the crossbow’s shaft and the arrow’s shaft. The length of the arrow shaft depends on your height, weight, and the distance between your elbow and the floor.
The general rule is that the arrow shaft should be as long as your arm to the floor. You can use a ruler or measuring tape to measure the length of your arrow shaft.
Cut one of the halves in half lengthwise to create four pieces. You will use these pieces to make an arrow shaft for every cardboard crossbow you make.
Making The Arrow Shaft Guard

To make the arrow shaft guard, cut a small piece of cardboard from one of the halves. The length of the arrow shaft guard should be about 2/3 the length of your arrow shaft.
Making The Crossbow String and Trigger

To make the crossbow string, take one of the pieces of the cardboard box’s sides that you cut earlier. Measure the width of the cardboard and cut a piece of string that is about 6 times the width of the cardboard.
After that, you need to fold the string in half and cut it again so that it forms a loop. Push the loop through one of the holes in the crossbow’s shaft. You can use a safety pin to keep it in place.
You can also cut a small piece of cardboard and use it to keep the string in place. To make the crossbow trigger, use a ruler or measuring tape to measure the length of your index finger.
Cut a small piece of cardboard to that length and make two notches on either side of the cardboard.
Glue Your Paper To Make The Crossbow

Glue the bowstring to the bow at the ends of the bow. Make sure the bowstring is not twisted. Glue the top of the bowstring and the bottom of the bow together.
Put a few dabs of glue on the paper at the top of the bow where the bowstring will be attached. Put the bowstring on top, line it up with the glue, and press down to attach it to the bow.
Glue the bottom of the crossbow where the string will attach. Glue the paper at the bottom of the crossbow and line up the string.
Press the string against the paper and hold for a few seconds to make sure the glue sticks. Repeat this with the other side of the crossbow.
Decorate Your Paper Crossbow

You can decorate your paper crossbow any way you like. You can paint the crossbow, crumple, and color the paper, cut out shapes and glue them to the crossbow, or whatever you’d like!
When you are finished decorating your crossbow, you can play with it and fire it at targets or just leave it as a display in your room.
A paper crossbow is a fun and creative toy to make and play with. It’s a great activity to do with friends and family, and it’s a great way to spend a rainy day inside.
How To Use A paper crossbow and arrow?
To use a paper crossbow and arrow, first, you must assemble the crossbow and arrow. The crossbow can be made by folding a square piece of paper in half diagonally and then unfolding it so that you have two triangles on either side of the paper. You can then connect the triangles together to form a square shape. You can add additional pieces of paper to the front and back to make the bow sturdier.
Once you have your crossbow assembled, you can load it with an arrow. To do this, open up the bow so that it is flat. Place the tail end of the arrow in between two corners of the bow so that it sticks out both ends. Close the bow so that it holds the arrow in place. Your arrow should now be securely fastened to your crossbow.
Now that your crossbow is loaded, you are ready to fire it! To do this, hold your crossbow in one hand and pull back on the tail end of the arrow with your other hand. Then, release your hand so that the bow opens up and sends the arrow flying forward!
